A Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter in your school will give you countless opportunities to perform, lead, and serve the community. Not only will you learn accountability, responsibility, and other character-building social skills by performing music and running the chapter, but you'll be able to put together an impressive record of achievements for college applications.
If your school doesn't have a chapter, share this flyer with your music teachers to start one today.
Make the most of it
If your school does have a Tri-M chapter, let everyone know what you're up to by joining the Tri-M Student Facebook group. Post meetings and performances and share community service ideas with other chapters across the U.S. Maybe you'll organize a canned food drive or instrument petting zoo. Maybe you'll perform at local hospitals or senior centers.
However you serve the community, put it on Facebook, splash it all over your very own chapter website, and submit your efforts to win scholarships and awards.
